St. Patrick's Day is this weekend and in order to start the week off right, I decided to make a treat. We had L's friend over today so I picked something easy so the boys could help me. I was thinking rice krispie treats and then it dawned on me that there is a cereal that is perfect for this holiday...LUCKY CHARMS! Instead of rice krispie treats, we made lucky charms treats! :)
Lucky Charms Treats
- 3 T. butter
- 4 C. mini marshmallows
- 6 C. Lucky Charms cereal
Spray 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Melt butter and mini marshmallows in a large pan on the stove top. Add in cereal and stir until all the cereal is evenly coated.
Pour into prepared pan. Spread evenly. Once cooled, cut into bars.
The boys enjoyed helping me make them. And also enjoyed them for dessert with their picnic lunch on the back porch!
Our early St. Patrick's Day lunch went over well, even with baby brother trying to steal some food.
And then we packaged up some for C to take home...
...and some to take to the cousins!
Simple holiday themed treat. They're magically delicious!
